Airstream Ambassador

Like any aluminum-bodied and aluminum-framed Airstream, this ’70s Ambassador tows easily behind a half-ton truck or full-sized SUV. Unlike other Airstreams, however, this 29-footer features a custom interior from Camper Reparadise.

Gone are the cheap seventies plastics and laminates, and in place are custom cabinets milled in-house, a solid-surface counter, and under-mount granite sink. The dinette and goucho are all new with fresh upholstery. And, throughout this vintage Airstream Ambassador, luxury fixtures separate it from the rest. As a shelter from the elements, RVs and travel trailers tend to be dark, bland, and uninspiring places used to hide from the outdoors. We lightened up this Ambassador, and subtly brought the outdoors inside with 3Form’s products; specifically, custom overhead light fixtures and the bathroom door.

The result is a space you don’t retreat to, but are attracted to – and, encouraged to stay and enjoy. Adding to that is glass tile in the bathroom and fully functioning facilities. The Bamboo flooring is simple to maintain, like the counter top, and all new PEX plumbing ensures water tightness.

This 1978 Airstream Ambassador is ready to cross the country. In fact, as the Zinningers personal Airstream, it’s already traveled from Florida to California and back to SLC without a single issue. They’re ready for a new project, and need to make room for the next vintage restoration from Camper Reparadise — opening up your chance to own this one-of-a-kind.
