Moving on up

Oct 19, 2016

Early in 2013, Brandon backed the first Vintage Airstream into our humble Poplar Grove location. At that moment, this 5,000 square foot building felt sufficient for our needs. We worked hard to bring this neglected property up to date, along with many decayed campers as well. Within three years, over fifty vintage campers have passed through our doors for every kind of fix imaginable, from minor damage repair to complete frame-offs.

The first Airstream in our original location

We’ve come a long way in a short time, and have unfortunately outgrown the old hanger-style warehouse shop. We are currently relocating to a 12,000 square foot warehouse at 2382 South Redwood Road that will accommodate more campers and workstations. Gone are the days of stuffing three campers into our work space, and tripping over each other to get a job done.

To celebrate the new move, and proudly share our work, we will be collaborating with Boozetique at E3 Modern Friday night, October 21st. Three of our trailers will be on display; a fully modernized ’70s Airstream Sovereign, A custom 1968 Airstream Safari converted to an office space, and the Yve & LaRue food trailer.

Yve & LaRue will be slinging delicious vegetarian fare, and the doors on both of the vintage Airstreams will open to the public. The Sovereign is the latest full restoration to leave the shop and features some of the most extravagant accommodations we’ve installed on a build. From the black walnut cabinetry to the custom fabricated aluminum features, this trailer packs a hidden TV, art glass, HiFi audio, wood burning stove, washer and dryer combo, and much more seldom seen in a camper.

The age-old idiom of “photos don’t do justice” rings true for these trailers… so, join us Friday night from 5-9 pm at 315 East Broadway Salt Lake City for the chance to see our work and talk to the builders.
