While one can reminisce fondly about many things eighties (Swatches, MTV, and big hair quickly come to mind), what’s easily forgotten, however, is camper interiors. Generally considered bland and economical at best, even the all-mighty Airstream suffered from the malaise tastes of the era.
To fix that, this 1984 Sovereign’s owner enlisted the help of Camper Reparadise to ditch the beige, and breathe life into this clean, but aged Airstream. To begin with, we gutted the frontend of the Land Yacht and built custom seating that transforms into a comfy bed. The seating also features aluminum storage bins underneath, while the information console above was update with nautical-themed instruments.
Completing the interior renovation, we sprayed a fresh coat of paint over the existing cabinetry. For the exterior, we gave the Sovereign a three-pass polish, and brought the faded paint and trim back to life. The end result is a classic Airstream that’s interior’s just as inviting as the exterior.
