SAGA Van #23

Sprinter 170 4x4

#23 is on the road. Check it out. Premium materials, peerless attention to detail, and an airy space. It’s what we do best. Enjoy this Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) style video of our latest SAGA van:

This 4×4 170 Sprinter started life as an empty shell. We added insulation, windows, braces and electrical chases before finishing the interior with our SAGA wall kit and cabinetry. The whole process takes months to execute, and the end result is something we’re all proud of.

Interior

Revealing the innovation and craftsmanship that goes into every build, hand-selected walnut countertops contrast woven wall fabric and durable, double-laminated cabinetry. Beauty and durability, this is not achieved on a mass-produced scale. Every project begins with a choice, and we don’t just settle for any wood. Hand-selected Black Walnut — raw, durable, and full of character — is the backbone of many of our custom countertops. We transform rough planks into smooth, elegant slabs, each carefully cleaned, cut, and joined to fit perfectly in the van.

Our countertops aren’t just functional — they’re one-of-a-kind showpieces. Custom-shaped to seamlessly integrate into the van’s layout, creating a unique, handcrafted masterpiece that pairs beautifully with its sleek, contemporary hardware. Function and form come together to create a modern, natural design that will stand the test of time, on or off the road.

The Build

Each SAGA Van requires a team of dedicated professionals with a combined skill set to cover the plumbing, electrical, metal fabrication, and carpentry needed to achieve the pinnacle of adventure van manufacturing. For example, our cowlings are not cheap ABS plastic with a glued-on burlap sack. They require hours of meticulous fabrication before a professional upholster works their magic for a fit and finish normally reserved for exclusive yachts.

Behind the stunning, finished interior lies our SAGA military-spec wiring harness, designed exclusively for our vans. Engineered with aerospace-grade connectors, this harness allows us to wire the entire van in just 30 minutes. But, it’s not just about speed — it’s about precision. The integrated coupler system seamlessly connects to our power plant, drastically simplifying the installation process while ensuring the van runs reliably on any adventure.

Exterior

When it comes to exterior up-fitting an Adventure Van like this Sprinter 4×4, our decade of experience ensures the best components from multiple manufacturers like Avatar Off Road, Van Compass, Van Speed and more, fit together. This creates a seamless blend of cargo carrying and off road prowess. The suspension features adjustable Falcon 3.3 shocks for on-road performance and off-road comfort. For added carrying capacity Sumo front bump stops and additional leaf springs, ensure this van does not drive like a frumpy overloaded work van. The wheel and tire package is seventeen inch diameter Black Rhino Outback (Gunmetal Finish) wheels wrapped in Micky Thompson Baja Boss tires. These aggressive three-peak rated tires are perfect for mountain passes and washed-out desert roads, while the bigger diameter and wider contact patch give this van an appearance worthy of it’s interior modifications.

From Rough to Refined: top-tier materials like custom walnut countertops and details like upgraded suspension tuned to the vehicles weight, ensure this 4×4 Sprinter Van drives like a premium vehicle while treating its inhabitants with cozy details.  If you’re interested in stepping outside the norm, and into a Sprinter Van Camper build that’s not another mass-production RV easily found crowding dealer lots, reach out to us learn about our build process.
