Airstream Basecamp Awning & Mounting Kit with OVS Nomadic 2.0

Time to ditch that lame “visor” and enjoy endless shade and cool temperatures in your Airstream Basecamp. We’ve installed an assortment of awnings on a variety of Airstream Basecamps over the years — a feat, even Airstream shied away from — and, with the knowledge gained from that, we are now offering an Awning Kit for the sun-baked Basecamp owner. Designed by our in-house engineer, our easily installed kit can be done in under 30 minutes with a few simple tools. There’s no modification or drilling to the Airstream Basecamp, and the awning can be removed just as easily as it was to install.

Our Basecamp Awning kit uses the easy-to-deploy and spacious Nomadic Awning by Overland Vehicle Systems. Now, you can say goodbye to gnarly sunburns and say hello to sweet shade when kicked back outside of your Basecamp. Once the brackets are installed, it takes five minutes to deploy the awning. Likewise, it takes all of five minutes to collapse the poles, stow them into the front aluminum extrusion, roll the whole thing up, and zipper it into the water resistant 600D Poly Cotton Rip-Stop Cover. Bada bing, bada boom.

The Awning Kit works on all models of Basecamp. This includes the original 1st gen Basecamp, 2nd gen (Basecamp 2.0), and Basecamp 16X.

***If you have a Basecamp 20X, the Keder rail (aluminum c-channel) that the bracket attaches to is considerably higher then the 16X and Original Basecamp. This makes deploying and storing the awning difficult, and requires a step ladder, read on if you have a Basecamp 20X***

If you have a Basecamp 20X, and need some shade, we have successfully installed the Fiamma f45s 10ft awning on the side of Basecamp 20X. But, it needs to be installed at our shop -- as it requires drilling into the side of the trailer and custom brackets. See it in action in this Video.
