It depends on how high the water storage facility is relative to the water hookup — it's a gravity-fed system. Less than 45 PSI is considered low and more than 80 PSI is high. While low water pressure is really just an annoyance, high water pressure can damage pipes and fixtures. Invest in a water pressure regulator — you'll be glad you did.

The wall-mounted SHURflo 183-029-14 water pressure regulator combines a water-pressure reducer with a valve diaphragm system to keep your plumbing fixtures safe.
