Sprinter 170 SAGA Adventure Build
Built for an adventurous couple chasing trails nearly full-time, this 2022 Sprinter 170 showcases the refined functionality of a full SAGA Vans conversion. The interior balances high-end craftsmanship with true off-grid capability — black walnut countertops and ceiling bring warmth and style, while systems like hydronic heating, solar, and lithium power make it road-ready year-round.
The layout is designed for gear-heavy adventures, featuring a spacious garage with slide-out bike tray, modular bed system, multi-use shower and a full galley kitchen. Whether you’re riding remote singletrack or parked for the night under the stars, this van makes sure you’re traveling in comfort and style. Every detail in this build reflects a commitment to life on the move. A convertible futon anchors the living area, doubling as a lounge and sleep space without sacrificing floor space. Ample storage runs throughout the van — from the overhead cabinetry to the dual rear lower cabinets with integrated bike tray. Rich black walnut countertops and a matching ceiling add warmth and craftsmanship, while durable materials and smart systems support full-time adventure, on- or off-grid.

The Build
This Sprinter 170 build channels everything we’ve learned from years of pushing the SAGA platform to its limits. Like the SAGA team van, it’s designed for big adventures, heavy gear hauling, and long-term reliability. From the rugged electrical backbone to the refined interior finishes, every element is purpose-built. Whether you’re chasing trailheads, climbing crags, or working remote from the road, this van is ready — no compromises, no shortcuts.
It blends clean design with durable materials, ultra-efficient storage, and a 48V Victron-based SAGA bench built power system capable of supporting off-grid life for days (or weeks) at a time. With its convertible interior, walnut accents, and fully integrated gear garage, this van doesn’t just meet the needs of life on the move — it elevates it.
Every element of this van reflects the hands-on expertise of our crew here at Reparadise. From cabinetry to systems integration, our team of builders, fabricators, and electricians bring years of experience to each step of the process. Nothing is off-the-shelf or one-size-fits-all — everything is measured, cut, wired, and finished in-house with a focus on durability, serviceability, and long-term use. It’s the kind of build you only get when the same people who use adventure rigs are the ones building them.
Exterior
Built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170 4×4, this van is ready for wherever the road (or lack thereof) leads. The exterior is equipped with all the essential upgrades for extended off-grid travel — including a rugged SAGA low-profile roof rack and a full-length awning for instant shade. Upgraded wheels and tires offer traction and clearance for rough terrain, while the sleek matte finish and minimalist badging keep the aesthetic clean and intentional. It’s a refined utility vehicle that’s as comfortable pulling into a national park as it is navigating urban backroads.
While the exterior keeps a low profile, there’s more capability tucked under the skin than meets the eye. A Van Compass 4.3 suspension kit smooths out washboard roads and adds confidence on uneven terrain, while Vanspeed sidesteps make for easier entry without compromising ground clearance or style.
This build is a testament to quiet capability—where thoughtful design, premium materials, and serious off-grid systems come together without the need to shout. It’s the kind of van that turns heads not because it’s flashy, but because everything just works. Refined, resilient, and ready for the long haul, it reflects the craftsmanship and attention to detail that define every project rolling out of the Reparadise shop — contact us to start your build today!
