We commonly use the Rugged Design Concepts Ladder on our Sprinter Builds due to it’s low weight, corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, and good looks.

Side ladder for Sprinter VS30

Sprinter VS30 170 4×4 with Rugged Design Concepts Side ladder paired with the Aluminess Nerf Bars with Step and Odin Working Group Roof Rack.

The ladder comes out from the body to leave room for flares and aftermarket windows. It is traditionally bolted to a roof rack but can also be mounted into factory roof rails (Be sure to specify when placing the order). The bottom bracket bolts through the pinch weld under the van. We’ve used it with Aluminess and Rugged Side Steps although, with a big enough , , and some gumption, it should be compatible with just about any step/nerf bar out there. We often install this ladder on Winnebago Revel’s right in front of the Thetford Cassette Toilet exterior door and behind the window. The Ladder fits perfectly there, you can still swing the window open and access the toilets cassette.

The best feature of this Sprinter Van Side Ladder is it doesn’t stick out too far from the side of the van. Some aftermarket side ladders for Sprinter Vans, we’ve found, have way too much gap and look awkward in our opinion. The Rugged ladder rides a pretty consistent two and half inches from the side of the Sprinter van body.

Mounting Fee: $150-$250 depending on mount styles and nerf bars, feel free to contact us to schedule an installation.
