Maverik Sweepstakes Sprinter 170XL

Ready-To-Roll Reparadise Raffle Rig
Maverik is pulling out all the stops with their latest sweepstakes. You could win a one-of-a-kind, custom 2022 Sprinter Adventure Van from Reparadise. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and utility — a simple, high-quality van built for adventure. Our Maverik Adventure Van has everything you need to explore in style and it could be yours; you just have to get really lucky.

We build a lot of high-end, super-plush luxury Sprinters for clients who want to explore off the grid without leaving the creature comforts behind. For most of the team at Reparadise, though, this is the setup we would build for ourselves. This is everything you need to explore in comfort without gimmicks.

Interior

The front driver and passenger seats swivel to become part of the lounge area. The leather-upholstered couch (which converts to a bed) and cabinetry are our own in-house SAGA brand simple, high-quality designs. SAGA overhead cabinets offer tons of storage without taking up usable space and feature integrated, dimmable LED lighting. Two SAGA drawer boxes and a custom slide-out pantry provide additional galley storage.

The SAGA sink box features a Dometic Sink and hides a fully self-contained water jug-based water system. There’s more room under the van for an additional freshwater tank and an additional gray water tank if you want to expand. The galley also features an Isotherm Cruise 130 fridge, installed in a SAGA fridge box and Samsonite Solid surface countertops throughout.

The main sleeping area at the rear of the Sprinter Van houses a large (nearly queen-size) super-comfortable Adventure Wagon Moab bed that’s adjustable. Underneath, you’ll find a spacious garage for your gear and the compact rear utility box that keeps the electronic components safe and out of sight.

The Build

We started with a 2022 Sprinter 170 Extended cargo van shell. We cut the holes for the windows and ran the main wiring. The team installed the insulation and an Adventure Wagon interior kit with bamboo panels. You’re probably wondering why we didn’t use our own SAGA wall kit. Adventure Wagon interior kits use exposed L-Track. It’s great for hanging gear and attaching hanging components like hammocks — perfect for the Maverik Adventure Van, but not-so-perfect for a high-end luxury build.

With the wall paneling installed, we finished the electronics. This van uses a compact power system, which is installed in a rear utility box and takes up a minimum amount of space. It’s a Victron-based system with a Multiplus 3000 charger/inverter and an Orion 30amp DC to DC charger and GX control center. The system incorporates one LiFe Blue 200ahr 12v Battery, but there’s room for one more for a total of 400 amp-hours of power storage. The van is solar-ready, with a converter box and solar charger already installed. The new owner will just need to spec and install panels.

Exterior

We didn’t do a ton of work to the exterior, and the modifications we made weren’t cosmetic. The goal was to make the van as capable as possible while leaving a clean canvas for the new owner to personalize with lights, awnings, fancy bumpers, nerf bars … all the stuff that makes middle-aged men approach you while you’re filling your tank.

One of the first things we did was to install Arctic Tern Overland Windows. They open all the way out for superior ventilation and include screens to keep the bugs out and blinds for privacy. The Falcon Ridge Roof Rack is one of the lowest-profile roof racks on the market. Because of the low profile, the rack makes almost no wind noise. It’s also modular — components can be moved around however you need them to fit roof fans, AC units, solar panels — whatever you want to bolt to the roof. Finally, we added an oversized wheel and tire package with Black Rhino wheels with aggressive Falken 265/70-R17 tires and Agile Offroad fender flares with better clearance to make the van more off-road capable and make it look hungry.
