Once Sportsmobile installed their well-established penthouse pop-top, and Advanced 4×4 worked their drivetrain magic to this Ford Econoline – Reparadise stepped in to turn the empty van into a one-of-a-kind camper. For starters, we wired the coach for use with a Goal Zero Yeti that’s tied into both solar and the vehicle alternator. Perfect for an electronic media power user… more on that to come
Subsequently; we insulated the walls with closed-cell spray foam, fastened down an insulated sub-floor, and followed with a Marmoluem floor over the top. With that out-of-the-way, custom maple cabinetry, white interior walls, and aluminum trim highlights give this rough and tumble 4×4 Camper a modern feel with a fit and finish not commonly associated with overland vehicles.
That said, we have capacity to build custom to an individual needs. And, besides an eye for pleasing aesthetics, the owner of this off-road van earns their keep in the field of video production. For that reason, a Goal Zero Yeti’s stout battery pack provides juice to power the cameras, laptop, and associated gear – then, there’s enough electrons leftover to keep the 12v Engle fridge frosty.
